Privacy Policy for Carrel.

Last updated October 8, 2026

Carrel needs an account because it keeps what you save and the spaces you file it into. This policy explains what Carrel collects, why, and who it is shared with.

Information we collect

How we use it

Your saved content is used to file it into your spaces, to find it again when you ask a space a question, and to run the actions you set up. When you save a link or import bookmarks, Carrel fetches those pages from their sites. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it.

Third-party services

Data storage and deletion

Saved content is kept until you delete it or your account is removed. Deleting a saved item removes its stored content, any captured image, and its embeddings. Full-account deletion is not yet a self-serve action — email us and we will delete your account data.

Your rights

You can delete saved items, spaces, and conversations at any time from within Carrel, or email us to request a copy or deletion of your account data.

Cookies and sessions

Carrel uses session cookies set by Clerk to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

International users

Carrel is available globally. If you access Carrel from outside the country where our servers and processors are located, your information will be transferred to and processed in other jurisdictions, which may have different data protection laws than your own. By using Carrel, you consent to this transfer and processing.

Children's privacy

Carrel is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Carrel develops. Material changes will be reflected on this page, and the "last updated" date above will change accordingly.
