Terms for using Carrel.

Last updated October 8, 2026

Carrel is a place to keep what you save from the web, made up of a browser extension, a web app, and the service behind them. Carrel is operated by Jiacheng Gu (operating as "Carrel"), residing in Canada, with the contact address at #B 31 St. Claire Ave, Nepean, ON, K2G 2A1 ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Carrel, you agree to these terms.

License to use Carrel

Subject to these Terms, Carrel grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Carrel. This license is for your own personal use, not for resale or further distribution. Carrel owns the Carrel service, its interface, and its underlying software, excluding the content you submit.

The service

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Carrel.

Your account

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Provide accurate information when creating an account, and notify us at support@usecarrel.app if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

Plans and credits

Carrel has a free plan and a paid subscription, billed monthly or yearly. Each plan includes a monthly allowance of credits, which are used when Carrel saves a page, answers a question, or runs an action on a page. The current plans, prices and credit costs are listed on the pricing page.

Billing and Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to Paddle's terms and authorize Paddle to charge your payment method for each billing period until you cancel.

Renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and you keep your plan and its credits until then. Mid-period cancellations are not prorated.

Refunds

You can request a full refund within 14 days of a purchase. See the refund policy for how refunds work.

Acceptable use

Content you submit

You retain ownership of the pages and content you submit. You grant Carrel a license to process, store, and analyze that content solely to provide the service to you. You are responsible for having the right to submit anything you save to Carrel.

Feedback

If you send us feedback or suggestions about Carrel, you agree that we may use them to improve the service without any obligation to compensate you.
